Ingredients
- ½ c sugar, granulated
- ½ c brown sugar
- ¼ c all-purpose flour
- 1 t cinnamon, ground
- ½ t sea salt
- ¼ t nutmeg, ground
- 3 lbs Granny Smith apples
- 1 T cider vinegar
- 1 T butter, unsalted
- 1 bottom pie dough shell
- ½ c all-purpose flour
- ½ c sugar, granulated

- ½ c oats, uncooked (not instant)
- ¾ t cinnamon, ground
- ¼ t nutmeg, ground

Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine dry streusel ingredients in a large bowl and whisk together. Add cold butter and work with a pastry cutter until dry mixture is fully incorporated. Crumble into pea-sized pieces. Refrigerate until ready to top pie.
In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, flour, and spices. Mix well.
Peel, core, and then cut apples into ¼-inch-thick slices. Toss apples in vinegar to coat. Place apples in pie crust and top with pieces of butter. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and top pie with streusel mixture from fridge.
Reduce temperature to 375°F. Return pie to oven to cook for 50 minutes or until crust is dark golden. If streusel begins to get too brown, cover top loosely with aluminum foil. Allow to cool before serving.
